Funerals- The Music of the Highland bagpipe has a strong connection to people of all backgrounds . Beautiful aires, and traditional tunes when played on the pipes stir the soul and provide a tribute and memory long remembered. There are numerous ways in which to use a piper for your loved ones service, We strongly encourage checking with clergy/ church musician to see what arrangements are acceptable.
Church Service Only- 200.00-250.00
Piper playing as procession arrives and as loved one enters church.
Piper plays during mass at determined part, ie; moment of reflection.
Loved one leaves church and out to processional cars.
Church and Cemetery service- 300.00-350.00
As noted above, as well as piper plays as procession arrives at grave site.
Process casket to resting place, closing music at conclusion of prayer service. (Piper will leave church immediately following church service to be in place as you arrive at cemetery.)
Wake- 200.00-250.00
Piper plays before or after prayer service.
Due to the loud volume of the Bagpipe, we also offer the Scottish small pipes which have a warmer tone and considerably reduced volume. Highland pipes are certainly acceptable as well.
Memorial service- 200.00-250.00
Many people opt to have a memorial service at a later date for a variety of reasons, and frequently, at a variety of venues. We can help you with ideas as to how bagpipes will work well with your service. Please message us to discuss.
* A Word about the Weather.- The Highland Bagpipe is a very versatile instrument. It is a woodwind that is influenced by such factors as humidity, heat and most negatively, the cold. We will always do our best to assure a high quality performance regardless of the weather, once temperatures approach freezing, out of doors performance becomes questionable. Certain changes in format may be necessary to provide service.
